Not everyone feels comfortable in a gym environment and this can put people off even before they have got to the gym. Having your own personal gym gives you the privacy to maybe wear something comfortable that you necessary feel able to wear in a room full of strangers. You can have whatever music suits you on and let out a ‘shout’ if needed.
You can decide when you want to go to the gym, when it suits you. Our lives are already jam packed as it is, having your own gym means you can work your workout around a time that works for you not someone else. Also, you can choose your own PT, a lot of gyms only allow you to use their PTs they have on their books.
Although the initial outlay cost for setting up your own gym might seem expensive, you only make the payment once. If you were to total up your gym memberships, PT sessions at your gym over 10 years I am sure the cost will mount up.
Not everyone is going to the gym for the same reason. A big benefit of having your own gym is being able to have the equipment that you want to use. No waiting around to use a certain machine or feeling pressured to cut your set short because of someone waiting.
